Review Tryout Information

If coaches do not have a dancer on their Athletic Clearance list when tryouts start, the dancer may not dance. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Ensure you follow this checklist for Day 1:

• Wear appropriate dance/workout attire (NO street clothes/shoes)

• Bring a water bottle

• Bring Parent/Guardian signed “Dancer & Guardian Tryout Signature Page” (page 10 of Tryout Packet)

• Prior to Day 1, check that your Athletic Registration is on file. Contact Athletic Secretary, Nicole Showalter or call 425.936.1867.

Day 1 Activities

• Warm up

• Learn a short dance combo in the style of hip-hop, pom, and jazz

Day 2 Activities

• Warm up

• Review choreography combo from Day 1

• If time, learn choreography to RHS Fight Song

Day 3 Activities

• Warm up + Practice/Review

• Perform learned routines to a panel of outside judges

• Execute technical dance skills (see page 4 of Tryout Packet)

Emails will be sent to the dancer’s LWSD student email OR the email address dancers provided in the questionnaire.

Dancers who make Green Squad will have their first name only listed on the team’s social media handle in a celebratory post on Saturday, May 31st.

If a dancer does not make the squad, coaches respectfully request the dancer arrange a private feedback meeting with coaches via e-mail.
